FCC - A Moment of Civil Liberty Understanding
Friday, January 07, 2005 3:48 PM
CNET News.com is quoting Michael Powell, Chairman of the
FCC as saying, "I think it's a dangerous thing to start talking about extending government oversight of content to other media just to level the playing field," yesterday at the
Consumer Elctronics Show in
Las Vegas.
Go, Mr. Powell, I hope you are truly begining to understand that it is the FCC's job to regulate bandwidth not content. We should let parents be parents and government agencies be as SMALL as possibile.
I don't trust any tyranical government agency, but at least the rhetoric sounds right for now!
